OUR PROJECTS
At Mission: Food Forest, we are committed to building communities around sustainable food practices and inclusive outdoor spaces. Our projects focus on creating food forests and community gardens on military installations, providing a space for individuals to come together and grow fresh produce. We also offer grant funding to support these initiatives and help them thrive. Check out some of our current and past projects below.

Our food forest project aims to create a sustainable food source for military communities. We work with local organizations and volunteers to plant and maintain fruit and nut trees, as well as other edible plants. The food forest provides a space for community members to gather and share in the harvest.

Our seed library project aims to increase access to heirloom and non-GMO seeds for military families and personnel. We offer free seed packets and educational resources on seed saving and plant propagation. By preserving and sharing these seeds, we can promote biodiversity and food security in our communities.

Our community garden project brings together military families and personnel to grow fresh produce and build relationships. Through this project, we are able to provide healthy food options and a sense of community for those who serve our country. Join us in this effort by volunteering or donating to support the garden.

Our outdoor classroom project provides a space for children and adults to learn about sustainable agriculture and environmental practices. We offer workshops and classes on topics such as composting, rainwater harvesting, and organic gardening. Join us in creating a more sustainable future for our military communities.

Our farmers market project brings together local farmers and artisans to sell their products to military communities. This project provides a space for individuals to purchase fresh, locally grown produce and support small businesses. Join us in creating a vibrant and sustainable local economy.
