MFFMC PROGRAM

MISSION: FOOD FOREST
MILITARY CHILDREN PROGRAM

The Mission: Food Forest Military Children (MFFMC) Program is dedicated to empowering military children through hands-on engagement and education in sustainable food systems. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by military families, the program fosters resilience, connection, and well-being by involving children in gardening, food cultivation, and environmental stewardship. In addition to teaching valuable skills in sustainability, the MFFMC Program advocates for inclusive outdoor spaces that accommodate families of children with special needs, ensuring that all military children have access to enriching, nature-based experiences that promote growth, learning, and a sense of belonging.

HANDS-ON GARDENING & SUSTANABILITY EDUCATION

Provide interactive gardening workshops, seasonal planting projects, and farm-to-table experiences tailored for military children. These activities teach sustainability, nutrition, and self-sufficiency while fostering a connection to nature and a sense of community.
